Naomi,

Please check out my website. You'll see that Jon IS respected for his acting. He's made quite an impression on critics, co-stars, and directors. Part of his problem with acting is that he puts the music first. He's given up roles in The Heist and another film that Robert DeNiro was in. I can't think of the title. Anyway, Val Kilmer wound up with the role they offered Jon. Personally, I wish he would focus on his acting a bit more because he is finally getting some critical respect for an area of his work.

I sure hope he focus more on the music Surprisingly critics like Jon's acting career, but whatever it is, he's still a rock n roller and that's why I'm a fan.

It has to be said, guys, though Jon may have some acting ability, that's not what counts in the business we call show.

What DOES count is that you can pick a good script. Or you can afford to hire someone who can pick a good script for you. JON! TAKE THE HINT!

He's doing well, the critics think he's got talent, which he does, but he can't pick a good script or movie to save his life! "Vampires: Los Muretos" was a disaster- any movie with the tagline "One wrong move and you're a taco" is jus baaaaaaaad news.

Eminem's jumped in at the top because he's popular with most generations, he's young, hip and he's got the contacts to be able to jump in at the top. Jon's starting the hard way, and like a lot of fledgling actors, is being fed all the crap first. But the good stuff will come!

We hope...

Love

Laura

I think that's why he's writing is OWN scripts now! LOL But you also have to remember that what's in the script rarely makes it to the film. U-571 had an EXCELLENT script (aside from false basis) and they cut most of the meaningful dialogue from the picture. They left nothing to make the characters anything more than functions. No Looking Back had a better script than what was on screen. Pay It Forward the book and Pay It Forward the movie are two very different stories! It's like any written work--the movie is usually worse. Maybe Jon's own movies will provide more depth and give him a better chance to really act. Otherwise, he can always hire me to go through scripts for him. He doesn't even have to hire me. I'll volunteer. LOL

jon should just do what he does best - sell his cheesey music. He is not a movie/tv star.
 Crappy movies is your opinion. Cheesy TV is your opinion. Cheesy music is your opinion. So far, based upon your lameass responses here, I can't find a reason why your opinion should be minded at all. So if you like Bon Jovi but can't find a more intelligent way to present your thoughts, work on it. If you don't like Bon Jovi and can't find a more intelligent way to waste your time, masturbation and video games should be #2 and #3 on your list of hobbies - try those.

I really think Jon's movies are crap, and I think he sucks as an actor(probably because he has never playe a complex charcater)but that's not the reason he is not succesful.I Let's remember the Slippery, the Jersey and the BoG years.Think about how many roles Jon was asked to play.Everybody wanted him but he has never accepted because he didn't want to be a ELVIS copy and yhe didn't want to be known as JBJ the rocker that acts.He wanted to be known as JBJ the ROCKER and the ACTOR.Believe me,if Jon had accpeted any role in the 80s he would have got as much attention as Eminem gets now.
JOHN JOVI said "JON IS LIKE ELVIS".I think,if Jon would be like Elvis he would get much more attention for his movies.
By the way:I'm still asking myself how a rocker, who had a bad-boy image in the 80's ,who says he plays kick-ass R&R and Heavy Metal can play in such a stupid soap as Ally McBeal.

I'm with ya Captain Crash!! DevilsSon, if you don't like Jon's acting or see his abilities, then don't watch his movies. There are obviously people that think what he is doing is worthwhile, so let it be at that.....

Personally I don't think Eminem can be mentioned in the same breath as Jon.

Jon has achieved so much more than him, and it seems ridiculous to even suggest that Eminem is as good as Jon!!!!

Anyone can be contiversial (Eminem), take KRB for example!! all he does is say controverial opinions...

Anyway the otha nite I was just watching a movie with mum and dad, and some guy came on, and I jokingly said it looked like Jon. Then Mum pointed out that it was him....and I must say it wasn't a bad movie.

So if I were Jon I wouldn't give up making movies just yet!!

About JBJ not being a bad-boy and not playing HEAVY METAL:
Rwead this, extracts from BJ interviews in different Magazines:
KERRANG! MAY 2002:
"Reporter:You don't have a bad reputation for anything. "
JBJ:"It's none of your business. It's the same old mafia attitude I've always had. But I don't wanna have to defend it and say, 'Really, I'm a bad boy!'. F**k you. You don't like it. I don't care! "

FACE MAGAZINE 1992:
REP:"So why did you change your hairstyle? "
JBJ:"No big deal. Ifs not a case of Samson, I just sat down with a girl who cuts hair and she soys, "Can I cut your hair?" And I say, eah, ok." If anything, I didn't wanna you know, long hair, heavy metal, rock'n'roll band. Now I go to myself, Christ, I can't believe I had that mop for 15 years. "REP:What do you think is the worst heavy metal fashion of all time?
JBJ:I don't think that there was a worst heavy metal fashion because it just come to mind about how the disco era went through the white suit phase and the gold jewellery. The cowboys with those big belt buckles and mutton chops. I think we've gotten off easy. "

You see,JON says himself more or less direct he is a bad boy and he says BJ is a heavy metal act.
Don't believe me?Check those magazines out,you'll see!!!
