For one, at the beginning, I think Jon is being sarcastic.

Two, I think Jon was being sarcastic.

Three, the whole thing looks faked and it seems whoever typed it really sucks.

Four, I think Jon may just being going along with her opinion of them being a heavy metal band (although it's unclear if she really thinks this).. Jon often does this.

And either way, their music was never heavy metal. Never. Ever. The closest thing I can think of being heavy metal by Bon Jovi is.. "If I Was Your Mother"

I think he's a better musician than actor. The Leading Man is the film I watch most, the others are ok...i mean i don't lose my conscience!

Hey Crash!Look at the picture under my signature.I think it says a lot ...

And I agree with you,Jovi aren't heavy metal today but the rock they played in the 80s was classified as Heavy Metal and i know a lot of bands that are softer han Jovi and they are also classified as Heavy Metal so that's not a big deal!

I think Eminem is a very bad role model for today's youths, who are mainly the people who listen to pop music. Eminem is very big in my school, and I'm constantly getting crap about Bon Jovi. But the truth is, Jon Bon Jovi and BJ in general are just better role models for...well, human beings. If more people would drop this rap rubbish (which is supposively "in" right now) and start listening to some meaningful music which revolves around broader subjects than sex and killing people, perhaps the world would be a better place. I haven't heard much Eminem, but I've heard enough to say that it's no good. It sickens me that so many people praised 8 Mile.

And, unfortunately, as Becky said, Jon's movies are usually independant films that aren't taken much notice to. And indeed, he was given credit for U-571 (good movie), but that's one film. I didn't even know he was in Pay It Forward until I saw the opening credits (a delightful suprise!) Here I am, a big BJ fan, and I didn't even know he was in it. What are the chances of people who don't like the music knowing he's in it?

I cannot explain my loathing for rap by mere words. Pop culture is screwing up peoples minds. I take pride in knowing my CD player is packing positive, encouraging, happy (most of the time) music, rather than degrading, vulgar, depressing lyrics (the ones you can understand, which scarcely occurs.)

As for Jon's movies being good...

I haven't seen em' all, and my opinion is sort of two sided. U-571 and Pay it Forward are great. Destination Anywhere is nausiating. It gives me a headache. I haven't seen Vampires: Los Muertos yet (though I did spy it in Wal-Mart...hmmm...) but I think Jon would be a good action star, so I have an optimistic view towards this one. He was pretty good on Ally McBeal too, though I'm not a big fan of the show (after I saw the guy fly across the river with the big homemade wings, I gave up hope).

Eminem...does he ever smile? I can't say I've ever seen the man flash some molars. He always looks so angry. And we blame all the violence in the world on movies and video games...just strap on some headphones (mind you, I'm not blaming all ruckus about the world on rap...just some of it).

And I can't stand it when fellow classmates call the band old. I mean...I just...ARRGGHHH!!!!

Ok, that'll be all for me now. Underlying themes here--Eminem and all rap are crap (well, except for Amish Paradise by Weird Al). Bon Jovi and similar bands could help the world if people would give them a chance. They're not old...well...not that old. Age doesn't matter. Some of Jon's movies are good, some are not. However, in my opinion, he should pay more attention to his musical career than acting.

Mongoose is right. Jon played in no movie that I would have watched if it wasn't for Jon (maybe exept of U-571 but there he has only a very small role that you can't really count and in Pay it forward you maybe can see him 2 or 3 minutes in 2 scenes). I haven't seen the movie with Eminem but a lot of people who don't like him originally said that he was very good in the movie.

Sure, one reason is that he is "in" at the moment but it can't be the only reason when you think of the Britney-movie. She was very "in", too when the movie came out but it flopped.

And I remember when Leading Man came into our cinemas I had a private performance because I was all alone in the theater. Noone was interested in the movie. Really no one. All other movies with a major role (even one from a name like John Carpenter) didn't make the theaters.

they are both good actors, tho i would class Jon as the better, as he has had to protray different types of charecters.... drug dealer, war hero, household painter... eminem has only had to portray a charecter SIMLILAR to himself in real life.
i dont really mind... i am seeing both within a week of each other!!!! In Dublin!
