Default Jon Bon Jovi vs. Steven Tyler

Comparing the two in every way... voice, concert energy/style, fashion, or whatever you think is worth comparing, who do you think is the better one?

Of course lets mainly focus on their voice and singing talents...

Jon, on showmanship and voice. I just prefer him. Steven is a great "rock" singer but I feel Jon has the better overall voice as it is more versatile.

Never seen Aerosmith in concert so I don't know how they compare in that respect to Bon Jovi.

I think it's quite difficult to compare Jon and Steve because they have totally different sounding voices and Steve has a very unique way of singing certain notes.

stevens is much more versatile. And he can still sing like he could 30 years ago. Jon cant sing the songs that made him live anymore.

Steven Tyler, no contest. His style is what made Aerosmith Aerosmith and he is still a kickass singer now that he's pushing 60.

i find this really hard to choose because they are my two of my favorite frontmen of all time!! tho i havnt seen tyler live since i live in ireland! theres just something about tylers voice that i love! jon is a great singer but he cant get the high notes on his best songs! to aerosmiths songs arnt as high as living on a prayer or always! i may have to give the edge to jon tho!

I agree with most, from what I heard in bootleg concerts, Steven can still sing the high notes/screamin notes on songs like Cryin', Dream On, Walk This Way, etc...

Jon got a more friendly, "for all fans" type of voice, but he lets the fans sing on areas he cant sing, or just keep silent on supposed to be high notes, like Runaway, Livin on a Prayer.

Both are still my gods though!

I like both of them, but I like Jon a little better. I like the sound of his voice and his stage preformance more than Steven. (Keep in mind I'm only judging concert preformance for Jon by a DVD)

I think the screaming of the high notes while it is Steven, just doesn't do much for me when it's done over and over again. I haven't heard Steven sing a non rock type song so I don't know how his voice would sound if he's not doing his trademark screaming of the high notes.
