3.When being anounced the band will do an acoustic gig you're not wondering if it will be a capella either. Since most of us know Jon is capable of playing guitar most of us also know he might play guitar there too. If Richie would anounce an acoustic gig you wouldn't ask us either if it would be a capella.

Richie played acoustic gigs all alone, even a whole concert. He can play the guitar and can sing. Jon never did, he isn't a good guitar player and ALWAYS has a guitar player with him. Either Richie or Bobbie.

Ah so you do know that it doesn't have to be a capella. You already did know the answer. Jon has played some small acoustic shows, he did a few to help Al Gore, and went from radio statio to radio station during the Destination Anywhere promotion tour and didn't always have a guitar player with him, sometimes he did play alone. He isn't the best guitar player in the world but is good enough to play a few songs by himself.

Just because he doesn't solo or shred like richie doesn't mean he doesn't know how to play.Shit he's been playing since he was a teenager, and don't get me wring but how could you think someone who has been playing guitar since his teenage years isn't cappable of playing a few songs by himself at 41(?) then you need some serious help on how to analyze shit out.

CHill OUT YOU LOT! make peace not war. WHat nobody can deny is that Jon has written some of the greatest rock tunes ever WITH HIS GUITAR. Not being a solo guitarist doesn't mean eyyou can't play! Not everybody is Richie Sambora :P

Jon isn't a good guitar player?! He may not be Richie Sambora, but he is MORE than capable of playing acoustically and singing by himself! He can perofrm without having somebody else play for him. Have you heard 'Going Back' which is on the 'Miracle' CD single? This was performed at the Hammersmith gig XMas 1989 which is Jon all by himself and it is AMAZING.
