Jon Could Be Embarased By...

No way! "Crush" and the single "It's my life" were huge for the band, especially in America. They succesufully brought the band alive and kicking into the next decade of their brilliant career!

crush has some brilliant songs IMO

the first two albums kinda average apart from a few songs...as far as the bounce album goes...i think its in the same vein as the first two..

u play the same songs for 2 decades and im sure u'll get bored of them, hell my bands songs r lucky if they're in the set for more than a year, i think we only play one or 2 just now that havent been wrote in the recent past.

anyways i wudnt say he was turning his back on it but once u record something and hear it again and again u don't love it as much as u might have when its just been wrote. im sureif they cud theyd stop playing livin on a prayer and bad name but they can't whereas with the other album tracks they can.

He wrote or co-wrote them all. He's entitled to feel any way he wants to about any of the things he's done in his life. His perspective is dramatically different than someone on the outside looking in.

excellent point becky and one that most people including myself usually forget.

i used to try and write songs that were technically really good from a musicians point of view to test myself and the band and stuff but when i talk to people thatve seen us the songs they like the best are the str8 ahead rock songs that ive pretty much wrote in 10 minutes so even if i like the other ones better doesn't mean everyone else does and doesn't mean i won't play the songsi don't like.

I agree. Some is the older stuff is too great to not hear live anymore.

Jon's two real solo albums "BoG" and "DA" I think that he shall be proud over!

BoG won a Golden Globe and I think its a great album were Jon really uses his voice in the right way. He proved that he don't need the rest of BJ to do a great album

DA is a real not BJ cd, on this he was trying to do something modern and more like pop and get even more fans. And it worked!
I know that many of my friends that I have played Queen of New Orleans for just ask me: Who is this? I love this song! I gotta know who it is?
And I answer of course Jon Bon Jovi the lead singer of Bon Jovi and they go like
What!! Is it really he!? I don't think so.. But if it is he.. is he really good! And I don't like BJ, I don't understand this, I just love this song but not BJ!
And I go
Buy this album (DA) and you get to hear Jon's wonderful voice and good songwriting on a hole cd.
And they go
Yeah, I will do that!
Next day
That cd you sad that I should buy is one of the best cd's that I ever listen to.

Crush isn't my particular favorite album, but that doesn't mean the songs aren't good and well written -I think Crush is great, but it's not my particular feel of music. I think for the band, it was a great album like Donna said, it helped them regenerate their energy in the US, and sold a sh!t load of albums worldwide. Just because there aren't some fans of the album, doesn't mean it's horrible - it just means people's taste in music is different.
