Being a fairly new fan of Bon Jovi after listeing to their Crossroads albums a bit more then a year ago, constricts my opinion as a fan? I don't see what gives you the right to tell me i can't say my opinion about what I think of the band, just because i'm "new", even though we have all listened to the same Bon Jovi albums...but i must not have the capacity in my mind to be able to listen to an album and configure whether i like it more then the others, mustn't I? That's ridiculous. And i'm sorry, but if i have an opinion about the band, i'm going to say it. Like Tash said,It's our opinions - and only opinions.

Look, you can get into Led Zeppelin today and discover that you liked their earlier albums and don't like the albums towards Coda as much. That's fine. But do you spend your time and energy on a message board trying to convince everyone else that your opinion is correct? Do you intentionallly HOPE anything the band does nowadays fails (to prove to yourself that your opinions are validated?) That would be pointless.

You can't turn back time. Deal with it. Bon Jovi are what they are these days. If you prefer what they were 20 years ago, go listen to the albums in the privacy of your bedroom and don't waste your time on a message board pining for a bygone era you wish never ended.

Not sure why Jon or the band should be embarrassed by any album? Or even any song? Yeah, they may end up not liking it, and an individual may not like a song/album, but you'll always find someone who likes the songs/albums you hate. If he can reach that many people and induce those kinds of emotions (love/hate), why would he be embarrassed?
