I agree with you Kathleen but it does seem to be the way our society is today. The thing that bothers me is that like with the whole Imus thing, ( i don't happen to think he should have said what he did) would it have been such a big deal if every media outlet in the country hadn't jumped on it???

The guy is a shock jock, he's always ranting about something. I just think that our whole society has gotten too sensitive, it's like free speech is something that is ok as long as the only place you say whatever you want is in the bathroom mirror when you know you are alone so God forbid you don't offend anyone else.

this country is just so goddamn politcally correct and uptight its not even funny no more. i love this country, and i support it all the way, but with the economy so messed up, who knows how long this country will last.

Jon should be able to show his emotions at any sporting event. and if it offends you... SHUT UP!!! live with it! Jon's a REAL american!!! keep lettin' them fly man!

The political correctness is getting out of hand.
Jon flipped the bird - so what??
I see more offensive footage - war, people living in poverty etc on the 6pm news at night.

Maybe Jon forgot that the cameras were on him and was getting into the passion of watching his team play. I am sure there was a lot of eye rolling and so on when he wrote that apology.

swearing isnt tolerated in tv or papers in most countries as it is not considered appropriate behaviour, so its hardly a surprise he had to apologise.

Yes but it is hypocrite behaviour from those tv/papers/countries (read: US)
