NEWS FROM THE KERRY/EDWARDS FUNDRAISER CONCERT IN NYC...

JON BON JOVI was among the many performers who took part in A CHANGE IS GOING TO COME: A CONCERT FOR JOHN KERRY which took place earlier tonite (Thursday, July 8th) at RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL in NEW YORK CITY.

The evening's program began with Senators John Kerry and John Edwards, along with their wives Theresa and Elizabeth, respectively, took the stage to wave to the crowd. Once they were in their seats (they walked through the first few rows of concertgoers to get to their seats) the show began. JON BON JOVI OPENED THE CONCERT - no introduction - just Jon appearing where no one was expecting him: everyone in Radio City Music Hall had their eyes directed to the second box along the side of the theatre on house right. Jon entered from the private box and began the opening strums of LIVIN' ON A PRAYER. Then, from stage right, BOBBY BANDIERA (on guitar,) JEFF KAZEE (on keyboard) and LORENZA PONCE (on violin) took the stage. With the three musicians on the main stage and Jon out in the house, they performed the song (TLFR style) to huge applause. During the violin solo, Jon made his way from the balcony box to the main stage. The next song was the slow TLFR version of IT'S MY LIFE, followed by HERE COMES THE SUN. (Jon was on guitar only for the first song.) Jon & band left the stage.
