Nothing really knew but I thought it was cool at the end there for Jon to give props to Scott Shannon who recently departed WPLJ after a long time. I had wondered if his said retirement with that station was forced. Thank you Becky for the link.

Interesting that he said "retired" could be said as a joke but has he talked like that before and with what he said in Vegas?

I thought it interesting that he said retired too. But, somehow, I doubt he'll ever retire.

Oh, I'd bet it was forced. That dude is just so outdated. Not only with his DJ voice but the corny terms he still uses too like "knucklehead", ETC. He's gotta be up there in age, around 67 / 68.... 101.1 CBS is exactly where he belongs now, on an oldies station.

I bet that's the same reason why PLJ was taken off of Live Nation too.

It's sad seeing all these guys you grew up with getting old. It just seems like there are a ton of them lately from all different sides of the entertainment industry. I just saw a picture of Arnold yesterday and he looks like a grandpa. I guess it's just a reality.

I don't get this whole Jon Bon Jovi being a great business man thing. What has he done besides his own music that was so great?

He failed at a movie career. He failed as a Music Executive in the early 90's. The few things he's endorsed like when he was doing that cologne ad failed. He doesn't own any restaurants. He said multiple times that the Philly Soul thing didn't make any money, which was for charity and he's not even apart of it anymore anyway.

Ok, he manages his band and made a decision when he was 22 to be the only one on the contract. Great! But what else? Everything else he does is for charity and he always needs to bring his music into it for support and promotion. Even when he sold season tickets for the Soul. They included a free Bon Jovi mini concert.

Interesting when they were talking about Runaway and the early days and Jon says "30 years later and we umriff...." doesn't finish the sentence.

Wow - And you claim to be the world's most knowledgeable Bon Jovi fan? I know quite a few people who aren't even fans who seem to know more than you.

Is this Bizarro world? If Jon Bon Jovi is a failure, I too hope to be a failure someday.
