I remember I heard a lot about Ally a long time before I was even able to see the tape sent from a friend from the states .... so I was expecting some kissing scene totally ridiculous ....
but in fact it wasn't soooo terrible ... I agree the whole Ally thing wasn't a great experience for Jon I suppose ... a movie can be really interesting ... but a tv show like Ally I highly doubt (FYI I have been an Ally Mc Beal fan for the beginning ) .... plus the scenario was just awful .... but he was cute in it anyway and his job wasn't bad with what DEK gave him as a role ....
OK about the kissing scene there was absolutely no chemistry between Jon and Ally ... that's totally true .... Jon wasn't relax at all .... &and he was "acting' too much ...
I am always wondering why all the Jon's roles are about romance
I would love to see him doing something else a thriller , some great action movie ... why not giving him a chance to do something else ... why don't try to let him es-xpress himself in a role where we are not expecting from him to be just a HUNK .... he is good as a hunk but that 's a fact nothing to do with talent IMO .....
Sorry if that's out of the topic but I loved him in Los Muertos a lot ... JON is great in this movie ....

And I was truly holding my breathe when he took out his guitar and started singing and playing... What I'd give for a private performance like that... 
But I did feel bad for Jon on Ally, they just didn't use him well enough. They knew all of us would be tuning in and that would grab viewers for the last season.
