About the albums- I rather have Richie's album first

and also I read somwhere Jon's has a movie scheduled for the beginig of next year-if so- that should give Richie enough time to record- the problem I guess will be touring
(what is it really Jon doesn't want Richie to outnumver him in solo records??)

HAND turned out to be after all an album that I like- but exept for "who says" even though there are good songs- they don't really stand out- and also as a lot of ppl said some of the songs just soung like an extention - one of the other
I rather they take a break for a while, focus and hopefully get a DIFFERENT producer this time-
that alone should help the next album

If Richie, wants to finish his record he'll finish it with or without a new band record. He just drags some serious ass when it comes to actually finishing his solo stuff.

Good point, I wonder who will produce it. Here's what perplexes me. John Shanks is a pretty hot producer right now. So if they get him, they'd have to have had him booked for a while. This decision to go right back into the studio seems somewhat new, as of the Japan leg of the tour nothing was for certain.

My hunch is that they won't get Shanks. Maybe they'll do a full album with Parshar? I'd kinda like to see that actually.

Richie started work on Undiscovered Soul in 1996 while Jon was making The Leading Man. It's first projected release date was August 1996. It came out in March 1998, but somehow people manage to blame Jon that Richie is so slow. In the time that it took Richie to do U.S., Jon made a solo CD, 5 movies, Destination Anywhere the movie, did 3-a-day radio shows during the summer of 1997, and a handful of concerts in 1998. By August, Jon had written and demoed enough songs for another CD. It's just a different work ethic with them. Richie is SLOW and the only person responsible for that is Richie.
