Believe me, I've listened to Sixx : AM. I had the cd before it came out. Sixx is my favorite writer. He just has that feeling that Jon and Richie don't have.

yes darling, You know that, I know that, We know that, but Jon doesn't know that, he's still saying LH is the best thing he's ever written, multiple times.

Songwriting's another of those things that's indefinable - well, the rubbish stuff is obviously rubbish - but the good stuff is a very personal thing...

JBJ & The Richienator definately write/have written great stuff, makes you feel. Music should be able to influence your mood - after crappy days I can listen to SWW and feel superb for the night out, or I can sit at home in winter, with the heating on and TD on. They've written fun stuff, dark stuff, OTT stuff, powerful stuff, moving stuff, uplifting stuff, and even pseudo-religious stuff. Yeah, they've indulged in a fair few cliches, and some pretty cheesy lyrics from time to time - but the songs, including the music as well as lyrics, are still good.

They're his songs. I wouldn't you expect him to come to me and say "No, the best thing you've done isn't such and such, it's what I think".

He has the right to declare what his favourite work is - a songwriter's prerogative.

Besides, as far as I'm concerned, LH has a well-defined lyric, the lyrics themselves fit the nature of the track, and are genuinely good. The bridge "patron saint..." etc section is my favourite JBJ lyric.

Bear in mind a lot of BJ stuff wasn't written by just Jon - so he says LH is his fave that he's written.

He's also written Bed of Roses or Something to believe in on its own just to name a few. And has he written LH on its own?
Of course he has to promote the new album & single, of course he has the right to say (or even think) its the best he has ever written.
But c'mon comparing it to for example Bed of Roses (or Dry County) their is no way Jon can say that in any believable way.
And to actually believe it is very naive.
