I hoped for years that George Martin would produce a Bon Jovi album. That vocal was stunning.

I also agree that Sata Fe is one of the best. Really, the Blaze CD is pretty much flawless.

Keep The Faith, the song. Those part raspy, part soulful vocals towards the end are brilliant, and the production is a bit more organic than on NJ, which also had absolutely stellar vocals (Blood On Blood!).

I agree about the Blaze CD. His vocals are perfect. For me the cowboy schtick gets old but the vocals of the songs I could listen to for a long time.

I see a lot more Jon than Billy the Kid in those songs. It was a really important album to make the way he did at the time.

Blaze Of Glory! There's an interview where he states he had to use some demo vocal tracks for the album because they were so good. It's truly amazing record and solely written by Jon. He was very confident and at the top of his game at this point.

They did the same thing on Something To Believe In - lifting some vocals from a demo track.
I love the songwriting on Blaze of Glory and his vocals are pretty much at their peak (together with some tracks on KTF and TD), but I think the music itself is a bit overrated in some parts. But the cowboy image and the metaphors used in some of the tracks are really great.

I am not the biggest fan of "Let's Make It Baby" (i like it enough tho) but it has some crazy high notes...., Santa Fe, Hearts Breaking Even, Open All Night (the one from the Box Set), Letter to a Friend, Hey God...and of course the classic ones already mentioned.

Live performances.... hmmm I think London 1995 or Keep the Faith tour in Milan are top quality.

I also really like Bremen 2000. Jon nails the vocals on BOR and TD . The concert overall is much better than Zurich which was officially released.
