Yea, Lizz, let's hope that the magazine wouldn't sink so low as to lie about such a terrible thing. The article mentions that his mother called him the day before the Hull show and that of course Richie took the news very hard.

13th was the day of the Hull show, not the day before ... dunno if that's relevant, just pointing it out

The Star and In Touch (it was also in that mag) are also both tabloids, so I'm not trusting this article.

However, if it is true, I'd like to give "two thumbs up" for being smart enough to tell her no. That would have been tacky. Besides, his birthday is the 11th. She should do something for him then.

Because of Richie's father's illness, it IS true. He already came into the hospital during the UK-tour and last weekend it became very bad. I don't know if it is cancer, my friend who works for Tico's company said something different but it is something with the lung. I don't remember what exactly she said.

Oh yes, sorry I misread the article. It does say Richie was preparing for the Hull show the day his mother called and told him the news.

A bit of truth in the article doesn't make the whole thing true. It everything I read in STAR, In Touch, and the National Ledger was true, Keith and Nicole would have had 5 different weddings and she should be going into labor any minute now.

I just said that it is true that he is very sick and that it is his lung. I just said that this part of these news is true. Nothing more and nothing less.

Denise really has no business coming onto the stage at a show. It would have seemed like a desparate cry for attention, ie "Look at me I'm a movie star with a rock star boyfriend, yet my last movie role was what?? Oh i can't remember." Jon is right on this one. It isn't a Denise concert.. it is a Bon Jovi concert.

(cue me on the big screen) JBJ: "How good have you been? Oh My God!" (laughs, more teasing) JBJ: "You want it huh, you want it huh? Blood on Blood just for you, the good girl in the front row? The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3

That's horrible news about Richie's Dad I hope he'll be ok. That also would explain why the subdued performance at Hull.

I like the fact that in the article it reads "the alledged actress Denise Richards" At least some of it is true then

Also interesting/funny to see how people reacted seeing her on the side of the stage, when people saw Heather on stage in 2003 they were excited about it (from what I gather, I was) but for Denise the reaction is "get off the stage".

And a fourth point, totally irrelevant of course, I thought that Richie was spotted in the company of a few different ladies on the European leg? Don't know how tight the "sweethearts" are.

Default Double Standard

Does anybody remember when it was Jon's birthday in Chicago during the Bounce tour they paraded out a Marilyn Monroe poser and huge cake for him? It just seems this distraction excuse of Jon's doesn't work. Either Jon is trying to protect Denise from an embarrassing reaction or else he has a serious problem with her or Richie.
