if you cant mimic a singer then this surely would make the singer unique.

For example Freddie Mercury was a good singer but quite a few people mimic him, just like Elvis , most singers can be mimmicked, they are still good singers but their voices are not unique as they can be mimicked so easily.

VOCALLY i know some poeple that could mimic jon, not for a 3 hours gig but for a minute or two yes.

i really dont understand your point dawn cos in all truthfullness all i can see is your trying to say jons voice is amazing in some other way but like other artists it can be mimic in short skteches or for short periods and you know its him when u hear it.

right, fair enough...but what is your point? this is just another silly thread

Im am saying that Jons voice has a unique sound to it and due to this unique sound it cant be mimmicked easily.

Joey, just because you dont understand or agree with my comments doesnt mean you should be disrespectful and call this thread silly, then again should I really ever expect more from you !

dawn i could of come in this thread and bashed it to bits like people do to topics around here. but no. i came into it with open discussion, i was trying to make a point as are/were you.

i cant actually belive you just said what you did, this was a reasonable discussion, sambo-chirs 'proved' (whatever word you want to use) you wrong by saying she knows of a cover artist who does it quite well so in one form or another me and sambo agree against your views in this topic.

Yep, I meant Kush. The singer of the coverband where even Richie and Jon say that they do a very good job. They even talked about them on US radio, so it wasn't just being friendly. In the USA nobody knows who Kon Chauvi are.

Sure, Americans see it maybe different because of the German accent. But the voice is really similar.

Actually not only Americans will hear the difference, you can hear it when it's a German singer singing English, the same for The Schorpions. You just hear it. Schtill Loving Yoe.

I also can I dentify Jon's voice - the one time I didn't was in that "we wish you a merry christmas- R2D2- only after I was told it was Jon, about the 3rd time-I could here it

I even identified a song that Jon wrote- I was watching this Hugh Grant movie- 9 monthes, and I was listening to the song during the closing credits and said to myself- wow that sounds like a song Jon would have written- I looked for the song credits- and Bam! I was right!

About TLFR- I love it- but Jon sounds hoarse on Bad Name- I prefer the DVD version- and for the life of me- I can't undersatnd how he let the song be like that on the cd.
