Don't worry, the western accent makes me laugh too. I cringe every time that I hear it. As I have said before, I am from Sayreville, NJ, and nobody I know speaks that way.
As for Elvis, I don't know about calm. Watching his earlier shows I noticed that the fans were crazy.
I only wish I was around to see him perform live.
What a show it must have been!!!
