one good point for you !! LOL true !!
Don't be silly, you do know very well what I mean.

I know what you mean, but I don't have the same approach to Right Side of Wrong as I do with most of their songs. Yes, with most of their songs you can relate to and apply them to your own life. This is one of the exceptions. I enjoy it for that reason. The lyrics for the most part are well done (except for the argument for birth control line) and it is quite creative. I think it is too commonly overlooked on this board. Just see it as a change of pace. Besides, most of us do know people who never seem to learn from the lessons that life gives them, they just get themselves in deeper. They are good at heart, but in their own world to their detriment.

Finally, it is known that the song is Sorpranos inspired. With the locale being New Jersey on that show and the long standing insider Jersey Syndicate theme going on with the band....it at least is true to the brand.

I just saw few sreenshots and under one of them was written JON BON JOVI Philadelpphia Soul Owner ... It was maybe not the only one mention of who is JBJ but sorry it's NOT who he is for me ... it sounds like the show was not targetting music fans
It was about Jon Bon Jovi the business guy
Mireille,

If you go back and LOOK at the screenshots again. You will see all THREE categories listed on various screenshots. The SOUL one was when they were talking about the SOUL. It was not there through the whole show.

you are right Donna I am partial here because i haven't see the show so i cannot judge .. I should be able to see it soon (someone nicely offered toi get me a copy of the show ) so I'll be able to have a better opinion... there were parts it was not just about the soul .. that's true I just saw one screen shot with Jon's name and below Philadelphia Soul Team owner ... I am very aware that my opinion is not totally objective I didn't write anywhere that I am "the only acceptable way of thinking " .... what ppl feel is always subjective .. the good or the bad it's all subjective ... but if ppl didn't think about what they see on tv then Jon wouldn't have do this show .. he wanted to say who he is to CNBC audience he takes then the risk ppl see it the wrong way ....

I understand that for the ppl who saw the interview and thought it was brilliant refreshing different and great ... opinion like mine are making you feel like but this is not because I love it that I am thinking this way ... I'd rather be super happy and jump up and down ... I don't like to be thought as a PITA LOL I hate it in fact

No one is saying you're a PITA Mireille. I am glad you are getting a copy of the show. I thought the inteview was good in the sense you got to see the many many sides of Jon Bon Jovi. They touched on pretty much all aspects of his life, from music to politics, to the AFL to family. I persoanlly thought it was a very well rounded interview. I do think Jon was not as animated as he usually is, but that was because he wasn't feeling well. I think he was also uncomfortable with the questions regarding his daughter. IMO you could see the discomfort in his face. I will look forward to seeing your opinion once you see the interview.

Donna I will post my opinion as soon as I will get the show and if it's not soon enough so the thread is gone and forgotten I will search for the thread ... I heard he wasn't comfortable that much with Arnie question neither ...

I don't see him entering politics at all. That didn't even cross my mind but I think he is now more interested in politics since having children. With kids, you do worry about who is running their country, what the future holds for them etc etc and so for me, that is where Jon's interest in politics lies, for his kids and for himself too but not to enter politics.

Music, I have to think is going to be a last priority for Jon soon. Hate to admit that but that is the way it looks to me. I understand not promoting the music side of himself but at least to mention that they do have a CD coming out. For a non-jovi fan watching that interview, you would think that the band is now just a part-time thing for him or even if the band is still around. No mention that there is an album coming out in the future, nothing at all. Just everything with music lately from Jon has been ho-hum. Even for the boxset, no promotion for it, nothing. Again, I know that some are going to say that it was only for die-hards but still, where is his happiest for the boxset? where is his get-go for the new album? It's like Jovimim said in the previous post, if you don't have your heart completely in it, why still do it?

There are some who love the Soul Football and great for them but is that all they want Jon to do now? They will be happy to see him on Sunday's in the owner box and that is fine for them? at least they get their glimpse of Jon. No concern about the music, no concern about the touring. I know that it's out of our hands and there is nothing whatsoever that we can do about it but still, it seems like who cares, we can wait. Oh by the way, Soul is on TV again, woo-hoo

Jon might not have said that he is bored with music or that he is giving it up but please, you have to read between the lines here. You have to see expression. Sometimes a person can say one thing but you know that they mean something else. You just have to read between the lines.
Well said stephanie02,
That and the fact he said tour is a "been there done that" endeavour, really pisses me off! Like its a bloody effort for him now!
If touring is such an effort for u, then dont waste our time and tour!

BRING BACK THE JON THAT DIDNT SOUND LIKE SUCH A STIFF!

Did you see the interview? Did you read the transcript? That is NOT what he said, nor was it said in the context you are trying to put it in. He was talking about not getting the SAME excitement that he got when he did his first tour, the kind of excitement he gets now with the AFL, because it is something NEW.
