yeah, I guess that's what he meant. I still think the comment was his picture-proof on facebook the day after the announcement was enough.

Well alright, I believe he meant the reaction to one person's death but still: it doesn't fit the context.
For fupps sake it's irony!

I really don't get people's issue with the whole Soul Kitchen thing though. There are a lot of very cynical people out there who cannot credit someone for good and honest contribution to lesser societies. Shame on you people who have this attitude

From what I've read about the SK it sounds like a good contribution to local society and I think the whole concept behind it is great. If something similar to this would be done in my environment, I would definitely take part in it. Its great it encourage people to do something good. It is the way he presents it and the use of these obamaesque statements that are the same over and over again.

Anyway, I'm glad that Richie seems to be doing fine and is working on his solo record .

Makes no sense. If he and Richie are writing, how does he not know how he is? Sounds like just Jon's writing.
If he said, I haven't seen Richie in a month but prior we've been writing up a storm and have a really good record coming together....... Would that make sense?

Look, I don't think Jon is lying because Richie did confirm that he is multi-tasking a Bon Jovi / Solo record and we all know that Richie has been in the studio for the past month.

Call it "tongue in cheek" or whatever other terms people use around here but to me there is nothing wrong with Jons statement. It's how people talk in general conversation.

As far as some of the other comments about death being overrated, he's just showing personality along with a sence of humor...... Something I feel is becoming lost with today's generation due to e-mails, The Internet, Texting and Smart Phones. Everywhere I go, kids are walking around with their heads down on those phones. You ask them a question and they look at you like your crazy with 1 word answers.

People are forgetting how to converse. No "How ya doing"... No Smile.... No Emotion.... No Thank You...

Couldn't Jon have simply meant that he hasn't seen ALL of the guys? Tico lives in Florida. Maybe he's only talked to him on the phone. I love a good conspiracy as much as the next person, but sometimes words just mean what they mean. And both Jon & Richie have said (a couple of times each if I'm not mistaken) that they're writing for the next album. Considering the band's history of putting out albums on a fairly regular basis, I don't find that so hard to believe.

The voice of reason descends from above People are taking it WAY too literally. "At least that's what they tell me" is the stupidest thing we've ever picked apart here.

Agree with everything u said.

And I think the message, as well as the picture proof of Jon being alive the other week, were both good fun. I see nothin wrong with this message.
