I think he should do whatever he wants. He has put the band ahead of his acting over and over, so I don't know why fans get so bitchy about his acting. Unless a fan also wants Richie to quit making solo albums and Tico to quit painting, they shouldn't want Jon to quit acting. Those outside projects keep the band fresh to them. Jon has shown he can accomplish quite a lot in a short period of time. He should do whatever makes him happy.
