That is complete BULLSHIT and you know it. Richie is the one who started writing his solo album in January 1996 with a first projected USA release date of August 1996 and didn't get it out until March 1998.

And do we have to go over AGAIN that Jon's acting didn't delay Crush, it was being bought out by Universal and the death of the producer? He only chose to do U-571 after the takeover of the company while waiting for the dust to settle and to find out where "a middle aged white rock band fit in Def Jam records." And yet, in the time it took Richie to do ONE measily album Jon did his solo album, 6 movies, and wrote enough material for another solo album. Who's the slowpoke here?

Perhaps Bounce is a shorter album because they wrote shorter songs. DUH. They still wrote 40 of them and they still put 12-14 on it. Use some logic.
