If you used "OUR" about everything you ever had in conjunction with another human being, people might start to think you had split personalities.

However, I work in a team and when we work on a project, I would never ever refer to it as MY project, it is ours (provided we ALL work on it).

What about kids? It takes two people to create a child. But plenty of parents refer to the kids as "MY" as opposed to "OUR" when discussing them. I think kids are really a good analogy for this because most creative people view their creations much like children. I call my books "my babies" and the guys have said their songs are like their children.

Yep, that is a good analogy.

I agree with Mr. Bluesman. If the other guys weren't there at the time and the person conducting the interview phrased questions such as, "So, YOUR new album.......?" then I can't knock Jon for saying "MY new album." I'm sure neither he, the rest of the band nor the interviewer even gave it a second thought .......................................... so neither should we if nothing was meant by it really.

It wasn't even an interview- this was when Jon was a guest DJ and he said my new record which is a factually accurate and totally benign statement. He said I am here to hawk my new record. Shocking isn't it?

Hasn't everyone of you ever said anything more or less wrong?

Can the people who are stressing so much about the words that spew from Jon's mouth think for just one minute what it must be like to know that people all over the world will take each and every statement that you say, and turn it completly on it's head, and analyse every damn word????

Come on....if any of the other guys ever got pissed with Jon saying things like this do you really think they would stay around???? they don't *have* to after all....they are all unspeakably wealthy....Dave could go write and produce musicals, Tico could go whack little white balls all over the countryside, and Richie could make solo albums for the rest of his life. But they don't do they....because they know it's a bloody band, and that they are all important. And anyway....it *IS* Jon's band.....why the hell do you think it's called Bon Jovi???? Aint' called Torres is it????
