Default Jon's SNL rejection

No one's posted this (as far as I can see) so y'know, whatever like.

Bon Jovi: My 'SNL' ideas were rejected

Jon Bon Jovi has revealed that he was disappointed when all his script ideas were rejected by Saturday Night Live.

The rocker arrived "loaded" with sketches involving himself and bandmate Richie Sambora when he hosted the US comedy show last year.

He is quoted as saying: "I did bring ideas with me... None of my ideas made it. I thought I was a comedy writer.

"I tried to get Richie in a skit - we'd be the Blues Brothers, do the dance really bad, get heckled by the audience - we're used to that."

I thought his idea for a skit about the law firm of Bono (as in U2), Bono (as in Sonny) & Bon Jovi was pretty funny. It couldn't have been worse than some of the skits that made it into that show!

We don't get the show here in Oz. But the bits I have seen of it.. yeah not that funny at all. Though could be something to do with humour translation.. I never find David Letterman funny either.

I loved the opening skit when Jon walked out of the full-sized door poster in full '80s regalia, and the name-the-band skit wasn't bad either. Other than that -- not so great, IMO. But I've never really been a fan of SNL.

I don't think some "journalist" realized that Jon's appearance on Conan O'Brien the other night was a REPEAT! Oops. LOL
