Default Best Produced Song / Album?

With all this anti Jon Shanks talk, what song or album would someone consider the perfect balance for the Band?

There are so many but just name a few so we can get an idea.

Mine are the songs off Crossroads including Prayer'94. Always and Sat Night have that perfect blend towards my liking.

I know it's a solo record, but I'll include it anyways:

Destination Anywhere

It sounds fresh and crisp without sounding overproduced.

Bon Jovi (Surprisingly slick production IMO for a debut album in 1983/4)
Slippery When Wet
New Jersey
Keep the Faith
Stranger in This Town (Probably the best production overall)
These Days (With a little more dynamic range this album would be the balls)

Destination Anywhere.

It's dated really well considering how much synthy and loopy stuff there is on it.

These Days is great as well considering how tidy it sounds with so much going on in the majority of tracks.

A lot of what came out during the 94-98 period that was rock related has aged very well. I think many producers around that age managed to get a sound out of a band that still sounds fresh compared to what's being released nowadays.

I love both the single versions of Dry County and I believe. I believe was remixed by Bob Clearmountain. Don't know about Dry County (should check) - it both has the bass and guitars coming through just a bit edgier then on the KTF record. Those my friends, I love. I'd which they'd sound more like that.

I think I'd go with Destination Anywhere as well. Just a really cool sounding album, and very atmospheric.

I think Stranger was good for its time but it really does sound dated.

Seb's right though, all the 90's stuff seems to hold up perfectly today, and will probably still hold up when today's newest songs sound dated.

The production on Keep the Faith, the 2 Crossroad tracks, and most of These Days is probably the best from the band.

If I had to pick one song, it would probably be Someday I'll Be Saturday Night.

Thinking about production...Crush is actually really well done, for the pop-rock album it was supposed to be. There's nothing I feel is overproduced on there, and the rock parts still have power.
