And as a singer myself, I think you're wrong.

I'm agreeing with Martin2000 %100 here. I think Crush was weak. Not a bad album, mind you, but weak. I liked most of the songs on the album, but they were more pop-oriented. It's not what I'd call a "pop album". It wasn't. But it was lighter than the Bon Jovi I've grown accustomed to.

I think Jon's voice is sounding great these days! I think it probably is because of the type of songs. Or maybe as Fredrik said, he's more comfortable. Either way, he's sounding good!

Yeah, I haven''t heard Bounce yet, but following what has been going on in their history I'm totally agreeing with Fredrik here. Also to describe the sound of Crush: It's not pop, but slow rock for old people. It's the sound of a band who have been great before but ran out of energy and spirit.
Because that has grwon back to them especially on the '01 tour, I have no doubt Bounce is gonna rock hard!

I think Jon's voice has improved totally. But as Martin2000 has already said, that's a matter of taste, it's different to sing Undivided and Captain Crash. Bounce seems to me much more powerful and, I wouldn't say aggressive, but more determinded and emotionally. They got reasons to sing some songs on Bounce with more feeling (e.g.Undivided)....Richie's guitar sounds pretty good, better as on Crush (except ITM and OWN). I'm very happy the way the album turned out to be, can't wait to buy it!

Well, thatīs your opinion. But take "Itīs My Life" and "Everyday". Do the vocals sound different to you? Take "You Canīt Lose At Love" (that Crush demo) and compare to the vocals in "You Had Me From Hello". Hey, cīmon... there is no change in Jonīs voice. It sounds equally great on both albums. I repeat, what causes the illusion of a change is the type of songs which are pretty different from the Crush ones.

Thereīs a big difference between Jonīs voice on These Days and Crush, but hey... that was a 5-year-period in between. A 2-year-time doesnīt make a big change in somebodyīs voice (of course it does for beginners, but Iīm talking about those who are in the biz for a while). Oh hell, who am I to convince you about that? Itīs just a musical opinion. Keep on!

Well, I thought he sounded great on Crush. After I heard Bounce the first time, all I could say was "Jon sounds AMAZING!" I was talking to my friend Colleen on the phone and I know I uttered that phrase 25 times! The first thing I pay attention to when I listen is the vocals and lyrics. The music is something I'll take in more thoroughly when I have the CD in my stereo and can really hear the intricate details. The vocals are spectacular! Yet, I don't really think they're a "change." Jon has quite a range in style and ability and he's sung like this before.
