Default Jons voice in 2000 vs 2008

Jons live voice in the Crush/OWN tour versus LH tour. Which did he sound better in? Just wondering because from hearing some 2001 performances of Something to believe in he sounded awful, I was wondering if he could pull it off better now. The 2001 performances of always also sound like his voice declined significantly. But I want other peoples opinions on this.

Because I never saw the crush tour but was on the LH tour I've been wondering if I missed out a lot on Jons voice in the crush tour or was the LH tour better instead?

BTW, plz vote on the poll.

His vocals were better during the 2000/2001 tours. Just check These Days from those tours and compare them to later tours.

Listen to that performance of something to believe in though, it sounds pretty balls.

Jon seemed more able to hit the high notes in 2000/2001 but he sounds really thin/nasally.

I know that's a terrible version. Yuck. The electric ones from the Hand tour where pretty horrific too.

HAND?! You've got my hopes up now, is there really a performance from that recently or do you mean Bounce tour? The bounce ones were pretty bad:

He doesn't even go for the big note at the end

The worst must be the electric one from Munich 2003. Really awful.

Jon's voice has been pretty temperamental. For the majority of The Crush / OWN tour it was strong but on a few occasions he sounded rough. The Bounce tour was probably the weakest for him but I can't think of any shows on The Lost Highway tour where his voice packed in so I'll go with 2008.

That is awful.

I think Jon sounds better now. I love more versions of songs in 08 than I did in 01 anyway :\
