I like his 2008-11 voice as well, but to me it definitely wasn't better in any way than, say, his 1993 voice. Maybe more "technically competent", but even on the best days far less sonically impressive or expressive (after all, the inconsistency of his high range wasn't prominent in the 1990s, and neither was the nasality which could get really annoying on some occasions). As much as I think that was their second best era as a live band after the KTF and TD tours (many of the set lists literally were something insane and the energy was stunning in general), in terms of Jon's vocal quality there still was no comparison to his pre-2000 standards.

Of course, this is just my opinion and you're fully entitled to yours by all means
