I think jons voice was great from 83-96. It dipped a bit during crush but its been improving since the OWN tour and seems to be getting a lot better.

Sorry Dan, but I STILL don't get it! LOL. We've all had this "arguement" so many times it's worn thin, but seriously, I don't understand how his voice is technically better now. The only way I can see it is that he's done so much damage to it, that he treats his instrument better now and sings in a more technical style perhaps, to save what's left of it. He sounds great on the album, but live? Still a good singer, but not what he once was.

My favourite vocal era was These Days because he was really versatile with the styles of singing he did and the control he had. Then he's do something completely unexpected like the growl at the end of "Something To Believe In" and it was magic. Anyways, yeah. I hope we don't have another 20 page thread about his voice. LOL

How about that Tico Torres and his Waltzing Matilda?

To meet Jon's voice was best in 1991 when they did the Japanese shows in January - most powerful i've ever heard it.

TD saw the end of his voice (not that tour, but virtually from the day it ended onwards)... I loved the scream at the end of i'd die for you that he could still get on the TD tour...

The only song where jon's voice has sounded song on last 3 tours has been on KTF - and they have dropped that a few times recently.

I love it all, from the raw voice of the self titled/powerstation albums to the more "conserved" voice he uses now.
Whatever the case I enjoy listening to all the albums, and well, most of the songs.
