I think Jon needs to put on a little more weight now that he's 50. A skinny face make him look older imo. I'm not talking 20lbs but a few lbs in the right places could do him some good........ I can't believe I just wrote that. As much as it's about the music, it's tough seeing the band you've been following for 30 years get old. It make you feel old if you know what I'm saying.

I think 8 lbs, a tan, longer better hair, and trying to be less serious about politics can take some years off……. Ok now I'm really pushing it. I'm turning 38 in a few days. I'm now Jons age during the Crush album! ugh

ugh
I hear ya... Seeing Indiana Jones as an old man is depressing as hell. Jon has aged, but looks even older with the way Richie has aged the last three tours. In fact, I think they all got a little older on the HAND tour. They are not a youthful band anymore. It's weird but Tico (he's old, but aging well) and David are the ones aging the best.

I won't comment on Jon's weight. He has slowed down a lot on stage since the Bounce Tour, and being that I doubt the extra pounds will slow him down any more and won't affect his voice, his weight doesn't affect me at all.

Jon should stand still the whole show anyway playing the acoustic guitar and singing (besides 'Prayer', 'Bad Name', 'Faith' and the other two are three where it would look wrong).

oh dear!

jon is old and it can go two ways...

old and fragile - e.g he loses weight and looks frail and people question his movement on stage

OR

old and graceful - e.g he puts on weight, looks far more healthier for it and works around being an aging rock star.

as much as you people may think Jon cares on looks. I'm pretty sure that he is far more concerned about his bank balance and longevity than trying to compete with todays 'pop' stars.

if you disagree look at Vince Neild and Seb Bach, its basically from one end of the spectrum to the other and i am sure Jon takes note of this and is happy being in the middle.

1. he wont do plastic surgery (yeah i know about his teeth, but other than that its too apparent)

2. why sacrifice image over profitability? the rest of the band gave up 2004ish, he has done well to keep in shape since that, and when did Bono give a toss?

at the end of the day JBJ already planned this about 3yrs ago and to speculate what he will do now is stupid, the band will continue to make records (we should be grateful) and be as popular as possible, but at the end of the day they have done enough to cement themselves in history as being a kick ass R'n'R band.

whatever they do good on them! whether it be Jon or Hugh or little Paul who does the lights i think they have done enough to control their lives how they wish, regardless of their publi image!

i would rather have another 6 quality Jovi albums than 1 shit album filled full of life size topless JBJ pull outs.

wake up people, welcome to the world!!!!!!

What is this nonsense topic here. Who cares about a few pounds? Jon is keen on his physical condition, his health and his looks. He will never be the fat Elvis, that's for sure and that's what he ensured everyone in many interviews.

Does Bruce got fat now in his 60ies?
What about Mick Jagger?
Steven Tyler?
Iggy Pop?
James Hetfield?

Only one fatso as far is I know and he goes by the name of Axl Rose.
13 years of doing nothing does make you a little heavier

Jon is blessed with stunning looks - easily looking 5 years younger than his age. I guess he will keep that advantage for many years to come.

Cheers

I can't believe there has been 4 pages talking about this. Reminds me why I'm starting to post less and less.

This is bad, but I think the worst was when someone started a thread about Jon's kids, people were posting pictures and being general wierdos on that one.

Urgh.
