Default Jovi Moment: During Organ Donor Awareness Month?

In real life, I run a news blog about health, medical, fitness and nutrition in New Jersey. Each week features a video about a health awareness -- such as alcoholism or autism.

April is Organ Donation Awareness month, and I got a media kit from a New Jersey organ/tissue donor organization. Their promotional video starts out, "New Jersey -- home to Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, the Sopranos, and nearly four thousand people waiting for a life-saving transplant..."

Great cause and it sounds like an excellent way to make people aware. Once it's personal I think people will care more.

Couldn't agree more, especially when what you're trying to convince people to do is -- well, agree to be dissected after dying! So you'd BETTER make it sound simple, worthwhile, religiously correct, and surprisingly kind of entertaining!
The "fun" version

Since the promotion was time sensitive, however, a more conventional version of the video was needed for archiving purposes. But that doesn't mean it couldn't be served with a slight mashup:
The "serious" version

P.S. While going through a media kit about preeclampsia, I noticed that its symptoms resembled the toxemia that had claimed the life of a relative. Then I read, "Pregnancy Induced Hypertension (PIH) and toxemia are outdated terms for preeclampsia." So now it's official: I'm outdated!

Default July 2018 Update

This week, I got a media kit about New Jersey summertime health and safety -- but the video's background music was scandalously boring. Bon Jovi to the rescue, LOL!

The reunion of New Jersey teeny-poppers the Jonas Brothers coincides with their father being declared free of colon cancer. It's time to promote the annual post a selfie to generate a donation online benefit for colorectal cancer, but I feel so very disloyal, LOL!
