Yes. That's true. For me Crush is great album. Many others hate it.

Someone already pointed out to you that you were wrong about HAND going "unnoticed" in the UK.

Are you just making shit up as you go along?

That seems to be his MO lately. It's why this thread is going in a pointless direction IMO.

Both are good bands, but I could only listen to U2 every now and then.

Jovi I listen to every single day.

No, that's what Bono sounds like nowadays. They're just very good at hiding it with effects and crowd noises on their live releases.

I live in the UK, A song can get to #no.1 these days and still not be a hit because no one buys singles anymore. As far as airplay and public interest goes HAND went by unnoticed.

I'm A Bon Jovi fan and it annoys me to see the band's relevance wane because I think since 2000 their music's getting better.

I'm not gonna apply blinkers and say Bon Jovi are bigger just for the sake of it, you have to look at these things objectively.

Then why was it:

a) Played in heavy rotation on MTV Europe?
b) Played in heavy rotation on VH1?
c) Played in heavy rotation on the radio?
d) Made it into the European Top 20?
e) Stayed in the UK charts for a month?

Because it wasn't a hit?

If you can define those 5 things for a Bon Jovi single you can say that it's a hit.

And though it wasn't as big as It's My Life or Always, it was a definite hit. Anything that makes it into the European Top 20 is a hit. It's just as simple as that, and Have A Nice Day went to number 4.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
