Well Pop Music means Popular Music, so yes you could say they are, but then again I don't think many bands do fit into one genre. To me Bon Jovi is Bon Jovi, just like Bruce Sprinsgteen is Bruce Springsteen or Aerosmith is Aerosmith, they are just a band, not a rock band or pop band or whatever. I don't see the need to pigeonhole every band with a genre.
