Public perception:

"Bon Jovi... he." That annoys me. I realize that most of the world simply does not care that there's a difference, but it's still annoying.

That if you're a female and a Bon Jovi fan you're only a fan because you find one or more of the guys attractive, as if by virtue of estrogen overload, we're too stupid to like the band for the vocals, lyrics, music, or live performances.

That the audience is comprised of teen age girls who think Jon is hot. Okay, what time warp do you have to be living in to still think this? In 1989, yes, the audience had a lot of teenage girls. Now it's about an even mix and most people at a show are in their 20's and up.

About the band:

That they continue to play Bad Name on television programs like Today and SNL airing in THIS century. Perhaps they've been sucked into the same time warp as some of those reviewers who comment on the plethora of teenage girls in the audience. Perhaps they haven't figured out that this song sucks live.

Richie singing wanTED instead of WANTed.

They don't vary the set list enough. And, yes, I know they have their reasons, but it's still tedious to people who'd like to go to more than one show to hear the same things. Loose Bad Name already. Replace SWID with These Days occassionally.

That they keep writing and recording hair-ball inducing ballads that sound like they came right out of a bottle: Thank You for Loving Me, All About Loving You, Open All Night.

If Richie is going to sing at a show, I wish he'd sing one of his solo songs. Even if IBTFY goes over better with the audience than SITT, it would be better to hear him do one of his songs and get some exposure for his CDs and hear IBTFY the way I fell in love with it, with Jon on vocals.

They ignore vast regions of the USA when touring. Someone needs to show them a map. There are +/- 1000 miles between Atlanta and Dallas and there's a region called the Northwest. All their fans do not live in the Northeast.

Fan club seating being limited to those who live in major market places. Other fan clubs do not have this restriction and allow a fan club member to purchase tickets on line.
