Just because an album is #1, doesn't mean it's good...

Lost Highway is the best album since These days, Yeah Crush, Bounce, and hand had their moments but Lost Highway is consistent and has some soul. Dave and Richie were going through tough patches while recording the record so the themes, Love, loss, seem genuine.

Some 'fans' seem upset by the slight country feel of the album. Many state BJ have gone country completely and have given up on rock . only patches of the album sound country and when they do it works.

I very much doubt the boys are gonna go all Garth Brooks on us on the next album.

The opposite can also be said. Just because an album dosen't sell millions it dosen't mean it's a bad album.

Jon always talks as if he dosen't rate Destination Anywhere just because it didn't sell well - but it is a far better album than Lost Highway and Crush.

This post dosen't make much sense. People don't know what an album sounds like until they buy it. People buy albums either because they are long-time fans of an act or they like the singles that are being released.
Seeing that MAM didnm't really set the world on fire, it's safe to say that sales were pretty much down to the 'usual' buyers of BJ albums!

Anyway, jsut because it got to No 1 in the US, dosen't mean it's been a huge seller. It's only just gone Platinum and outside the US I reckon it's probably the worst selling album since the first 2 albums!

It's not neccesarily the Country elements that have put people of LH. Not in my case anyway. I just think there are some really weak songs on the album such as The Last Night, Everybodys Broken, WGIGO, One Step Closer and I Love This Town. They are just not good songs whether they are Country or otherwise (IMO).

that's not true either, no matter what crap BJ will release they will always sell a figure that goes beyond millions worldwide. People will buy a new Bon Jovi anyway.
