You know Mireille, even if they were doing it over here I think it would still leave the same sour taste in my mouth. The music is secondary these days to the big corporate business machine and that makes me feel sad. They don't need the money, they're losing their soul.

If they want to play their music live, then bring it to the fans, not the big companies and their employees.

I totally agree ...but i have to be honest even with sour taste in the mouth if they were doing it next door i would go .. my need of jovi fix is somehow stronger than my music lover integrity ... and all this is making me really sad because I am torn between this sour taste feeling and this need to have fun ME TOO (and to be left out ONCE AGAIN doesn't help) and I would love to enjoy anything from the band and don't think about why or what when who ... do you understand what I mean ? not sure I talk clear today I am just like you wanting real genuine feelings about making music for the fun of it and for the connection with fans who came FOR THE MUSIC not for the beer or because it's free or because they have been invited .. but I would take it this way if it was the only thing I could get (knowing I am lame but I would take it though )

Jesus!!!!

something tells me some of you guys will never be happy with what the band does no matter how good it is.
If they play you're unhappy because the band is selling out, if they're not playing you're unhappy because they're doing things outside of music.
life's beautifull, the fact they are playing is a good sing that they're looking to warm up for a possible tour, there's more to life than Bon Jovi.
Just enjoy it.

Says the one who's been the biggest complainer while Bon Jovi was touring and now suddenly wants to see Bon Jovi go on the automatic pilot at a casino.

And Bon Jovi takes the piss out of their fans each time they do a quick cash in.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Sweeping generalisations there. I certainly didn't accuse the band of selling out when they played the Borgata last year and happily watched the webcast and was thrilled to hear a different set at last.

But, will I be happy that the band plays a greatest hits set for big companies to a crowd of disinterested employees for big bucks? No I won't.

It's selling out, no matter how you try and dress it up. Warm up for a tour? I think not.

At least this time it is for the public. The banker's party in Hamburg in 2003 was a private party (a merger of two banks and the birthday of one of the chiefs) where fans couldn't be there exept of they work at one of these banks and the Target thing I think also in 2003 was a private company party also not for the public. There really were people who couldn't care less about Bon Jovi.
