If the band needs cash they go on tour where all the money comes to them. how is this selling out??? It's trading services, the bands playing music for sponsorship for a tour or for the football team. Seems like good business to me.

Just supposing they're not being paid to play this show but it's a payback to Miller for future sponsorship then it's still for the money is it not? I automatically assume it's for cash, because I think a very naive person would think it was out of the goodness of their hearts. Perhaps you're right, maybe they just like Miller beer, but then again maybe not.
Bon Jovi are a world-wide act who do very good business in a lot of countries with little or no promotion, why would they feel the need for sponsorship or PR? I want to wear a 'Bon Jovi' t-shirt, not a 'Bon Jovi brought to you by Miller' t shirt.
Call me naive but I used to believe rock and roll wasn't just for the money. Maybe it's just me
