I've heard that name before, but if a song of theirs came on the radio I would have no idea who was singing it. I think they are starting some kind of tour here in smaller clubs, but I'm not sure.

Jon saying he doesn't like them surprised me. He usually stays away from commenting on people's music he doesn't like. I can't remember ever hearing he said something bad about another group. What magazine was this published in?

Broke it?? Coldplay broke it. The Darkness just skimmed it.

Ahhh maybe so, but they're back there in March/April for a sell out tour and a full onslaught!

Ok, I take back the comment about bein' biggest band on the planet. I should have said they will be next year.

Jon told Pelle from the Hives "can suck [his] dick" and that they suck... Plus he's commented on a lot of other bands.

In order to do that, they have to be played on the radio. If their first single, which is probably their most popular can't even do it, I doubt they have much of a chance.

*cough* Permission to land has gone gold in us selling 500,000 copies

*cough* Their single I Believe In A Thing Called Love was among the most popular new songs added to US radio playlists last week

That is funny, I don't know how it could be the most popular when it is not even played on the radio. At least in the NY/NJ area that is.

And *cough* 165,000 is not 500,000!!

THE DARKNESS TAKE ON AMERICA
THE DARKNESS will launch their first full scale assault on the US when they kick off their debut Stateside tour on March 26 in MILWAUKEE. The spandex-rockers have confirmed 18 dates on the back of the success of their debut album 'Permission To Land', which has already sold 165,000 copies in the US.
