you know , how cretable is this UK Magazine anyway????
Did JOn really say that?????
Umm don't belive everything you read , unless you hear JON
say it himself.
But anyway back to The Darkness.
Someone On the BJB board had posted the link to listen to the song and to see what this Guy looked like....
First let mne say when I saw his Picture, the first thing came to mind
was, what 's up with the striped hot pink pants????
But it looks like clown wear to me... and I don't see spandex coming back to0 fashion in the future and his hair looks like it was torched while smoking the Crack pipe.
But I then hit the link to listen to the HIT song
well Musically it's ok, reminds me of the 80's alway's like to go back to the 80's , the best era of music ever...
But anyway , as I sat here a nd listened to the hit song,
I was cracking up... It sounds like someone grabs this guy's
nuts just so he can hit the high notes (which are screaching)
His voice is just ( MY opinion ) Not good.
I think it;s a joke... and I don't think they will
make it here in the States. Just my prediction...
But someone pointed out to me at BJB that They are touring here in the
States and are sold out.. well Maybe they sold out The Stone Pony. Or CBGB's or something small, But I don't see STADIUMS selling out for these guys
I just don't care for them.... andas someone else said,
I don't see them making 2 years

I personally think The Darkness is a terrible band. I don't see them going anywhere 5 years from now.

lol... I wanted to say 5 months, but they'll probably still be on MTV. After this album fades away, they'll be nothing.

Withoutlove - FYI, they are playing 1000 plus capacity venues which sold out in minutes.

And yes Jon really did say that!

www.riaa.com

They arent there, so they arent gold in USA

I have the album, I have only listened to it 1 time, and its not...perfect. Btw, a new band should not be so arrogant with bands as Bon Jovi, Coldplay, Oasis...Who arent they?

I have seen pics of them, and They look like...Axl Rose?

I am wondering how true that is. Not saying that you are making it up, but maybe the press. As I have said, they get NO airplay, therefore it just doesn't add up.

you can check out the venues and which shows are sold out on their official site at www.thedarknessrock.com.

Philly (1000 capacity venue) sold out in seconds last Friday and the fans are going mad because they are now havin' to pay huge amounts to scaplers on Ebay.

"And yes Jon really did say that"
Did you hear him say it????Or did you read it????

My opinion on certain magazines kinda stretch the truth on
what was really said... you know they LOVE drama
But I f JON doesn't like them, That's his opinion.
But I have to agree with JON on this one.

As i said, the American music market is a completely different beast to the UK one.

You may have hear dnothing of them in one state but they could be massive pretty much everywhere else. It really is as simple as that. If you imagine each state like a little country of its own. I'm pretty sure not many people here will have heard of the Grim northern Social or the cosmic rough riders outside scotland but it doesnt mean they aren't relatively big here.
