Not to mention Justin seems to have a lot to say about other bands:

The Darkness have told American radio station KIIS that Coldplay guitarist Jon Buckland's musical ability is "inadequate".
Justin explained, "I like the songs but they have an inadequate guitarist. He wouldn't cut the mustard in Whitesnake."

With moustached guitarist Frankie Poullain and mulleted drummer Ed Graham the Darkness became a glamorous and satirical alternative to the screeds of rap-metal bands which Hawkins insists lack a sense of humour.
According to him, American band Staind are one of them.

"I absolutely hate them," he begins his unpublishable tirade.

THE DARKNESS TAKE ON AMERICA
THE DARKNESS will launch their first full scale assault on the US when they kick off their debut Stateside tour on March 26 in MILWAUKEE. The spandex-rockers have confirmed 18 dates on the back of the success of their debut album 'Permission To Land', which has already sold 165,000 copies in the US.

Sorry dear but the NME are so behind the times.

taken from the BBC website today:

Permission To Land has now sold more than 500,000 copies in the US - compared with 1.2 million in the UK.

Well then I am sorry for the misinformation. It is not like you ever see much news about them around here, so it is hard to know what is going on with them in this part of the world.

But they both have some way to go before they match the success of other UK exports like Coldplay, who have sold more than three million albums in the US and spent 78 weeks on the chart.

Once The Darkness match this, then we will talk!
