Yes you are right about that... Back in 1987, I remember reading an article where a critic said Slippery When wet was nothing more than a poor manīs effort of trying to sound like Quiet Riot. He said all the choruses are recycled crap. He also said this band wouldnīt last too long.

Crappy movies OFTEN make a lot of money (I'd rather say that the biggest movies money wise are more on the crappy side than the masterpieces SIDE (same for the music actually) Quality is not necessarily friends with what is popular ; what the masses like is often easy cheesy and cheap ...It is not directly related to the quality of NYE though it is more a general remark about crappiness and money

I THINK though that the new Marshall movie failed to succeed so far ...13,7 millions cashed in instead of the 20 (at least) expected

Yes, it was most likely The Rolling Stone. And just 2 years later they decided to put Jon on the cover, just to sell more copies
