I think we all know the answer

We "think" we do but I have a hated comparison. Bruce got very staid for awhile too. It was mostly while he had young kids. These days all his kids are (just) out of high school and in the last few years he has gotten younger before our eyes. Not visibly but in his music and the way he acts and performs onstage.

I still have hopes that this will happen to Jon.

It's his voice that's the problem. Well, that and the fact he has his acoustic guitar for way too many songs. I think if he gets his vocals sorted out, it will give him the confidence to sing whilst holding the microphone around the stage.

At the moment he is only doing that on the songs he sings every show on every tour. Even those he is struggling on.

If he doesn't have a vocal coach still, then he needs to bring them back. At least get his 2008-2011 voice back. Wasn't perfect but it was a lot better than what it is now and so were the shows. (Although I did think Manchester this tour was excellent)

I'd love for them to be like this again. I can't believe they aren't.

Jon does have a vocal coach, all this nonsense of him suddenly not being able to sing anymore once his vocal coach leaves a tour or so makes no sense. The reason Jon can't sing for shit is because of downtime in between tours and because he just isn't that good of a singer anymore to begin with.

Yeah, I'm sure it is. I just think from 2008-2011 he was listenable. Now I cringe.

You're right, he isn't that good of a singer now but it's still shocking how bad he is now.
