I suppose. Put IM back on the list then --- only because they are the most sophisticated of metal bands As they say on VH1 - listening to IM was educational

What's power metal???

also funny how you put motley crue and gnr there and you wouldn't put BJ in the top 50.
GnR broke the boundaries - they were loved AND respected by guys and girls - BJ was liked by girls for his looks (stereotype or not the majority was and is loving the band for their clean and cute image) and not all that well respected. It wasn't all that cool to be BJ fan, unless one was also a Duran Duran fan, female and giggly. Before JBJ, they were afraid of dudes with long hair.

Motley Crue was DIFFERENT! They were as bad as they came. They pushed the envelope - they kicked asses - they wore more make up than anybody else. They didn't care about anything - they had no agenda other than to be loud and to kick ass. Tommy's drums has BALLS!

BJ were pretty. They were like vaseline - EASY - smooth - SAFE! You could put them in the most handsome bands of our lifetime To me there is nothing original to BJ - I give you the acoustic thing - reluctantly....

That's good. Not the part with soundgarden... but the other part!

That might be the case. Panama is my no.1 introducer and she hasn't introduced them to me yet...

I don't think Bon Jovi get the recognition they deserve when it comes to their 'influence'. I reckon there are more people out there who heard Livin' On A Prayer and said "I want to do that" than we initially believe. Prayer simply has to be the biggest statium anthem to come out of that era, it had and still has a huge impact on the youth of then and now. I know I shouldn't just use one song as an example, but it really is massive.
