Kid raising money for cancer research--update Jon showed up!

You get the feeling that his "friend" Harvey still resents the wedgie Jon gave him in junior high school...

But you can't win with that sort -- had Jon not shown up, the comments would have been all about what a heartless, child-hating bastard he is.

The comments on that website made me sick. He doesn't have to do this kind of stuff, yet he does. Jon's a great guy.

Jon is not that good of an actor - that smile on his face hugging that child was real. He didn't do the call the Press come pat me on the back - he was just there for the little boy.

Awesome!!! Really great that he showed up and made this kid's day. Can't imagine how they both felt!

What a coincidence,I was watching the photos with Mario and Jon on facebook and I was listening to ''Kidnap An Angel''.It makes me kinda sad and happy at the same time.I always feel so sorry for sick kids...it just seems so unfair to me when kids die of cancer or other diseases and bad people live and die of old age.
Huge props for Jon for showing up!

Kids seem to deal with it a lot better than most adults do. Maybe because they don't understand the concept of death. But it is really sad that they don't get to live longer on this earth and it must be almost unbearable to bury your own child.

This is absolutely genuine. I'd hate to live in a world where I'd question the intentions behind this.

Jon didn't bring the press. It hasn't come out through the Bon Jovi camp. He has nothing to promote. Is it that far fetched for some people that Jon is just a decent person doing a good thing.

I'm sure Mario WAS surprised -- especially since he ALREADY has inoperable brain cancer!

(But seriously, folks, this is what happens when you fire your proofreaders, fact checkers, and senior-level reporters and editors in order to give the stockholders a few extra pennies...)
