In fact, apparently he was approached to appear in one of the GH games but turned it down!!!

I think there should be a GH Bon Jovi release at some point...... Imagine trying to rage through the solos on Dry County and Next 100 Years!!!!

Only one thing good came out of Nirvana - the Foo Fighters!
heres the link for anyone who cares

JBJ - I believe

"Sambora's face is a mask of joyous disbelief, as if previously unaware of his ability to play the instrument at all. Reaching the last fistful of notes, he does a fair impression of a man who is actually ejaculating into his jet black flares."

Sorry to be late on this but I was away from this board. The point you make there is ridiculous. First of all, we are talking about years and years difference. When Elvis came along, he was fresh, he was new, he was rebellious. Guess what, so was Kurt Cobain. There were better singers and guitarists than Elvis, he didn't even sound that great live, but hell, he could entertain. Guess what, so could Cobain. Then we are talking about a career spanning some 20 years in the case of Elvis and one spanning roughly 5 years in the case of Cobain. Just to remind you, Elvis was doing Las Vegas shows towards the end of his life. He was just a shadow of whom he had used to be. That never happened to Cobain...a bullet prevented it from happening. But you can't say that Elvis was at the peak of the game all along.

Another point, Elvis started out when rock 'n' roll was in an embryonic state. he's the father. of course he had more influence. that's a bit like saying "how much of physics did Newton influence and how much did Stephen Hawkin". You can't compare that.

PLUS ( a major plus) there's a huge number of bands out there who have been influenced by Nirvana and Cobain. Most of the 2nd generation grunge bands. Most of the Neo-Grunge bands. Most of the late 90s alternative wave. Not to mention the impact Nirvana had on existing bands. Ask LARS ULLRICH for example. Even an arrogant cunt like him would admit it. You don't even have to actually. Ever given LOAD and RELOAD a listen? Ask AXL ROSE (if he ever got over those verbal disputes). Listen to These Days. Look at how Jon Bon Bon looks in I Believe, the way he holds his guitar, the way he jumps with it and headbangs. Whoever is denying Cobain's impact on the music world is lying to himself.

And I've met plenty of kids wearing AC/DC t-shirts because they are cool, rather than actually knowing shit about AC/DC. Same with Metallica, Nirvana, KISS...any band that has ever had fashionable merchandise. Hell, I have even met a girl wearing a Bon Jovi t-shirt because she loved that heart and dagger.

Indeed ... "Tell Frannie I'm sorry she didn't get to know her Dad" ... Frannie being Frances Cobain
