Now that is just plain stupid. Doesn't make sense at all.

I don't think it is stupid at all. The man was a coward in my opinion. He took the easy way out leaving his little girl to suffer. I have no respect for him.

It is stupid to pay respect based on someones way of death. That just doesn't make sense. You may think it was not a good idea, even that he may be a coward, but to say you don't respect him BECAUSE he killed himself isn't any logic I could follow.

Anyone who kills themselves has my full sympathy. I don't think anybody who hasn't been in a mental state where suicide seems to be the only option, has a right to judge what it is like. I can only imagine the abyss someone finds himself to actually take the final step.

As for Cobain, I am not convinced that he meant to kill himself at all and, btw, it does take guts to kill oneself. Suicide is not a cowardly act. Cobain has my full respect, he overcame sooo much and in all his pain and misery achieved more than most people can only dream about. He is one of the few people that truly fascinate me and I wish I could have met him, spend one day with him, pick his brain.

Nope, he's a coward. Anyone who kills himself is. Which I'm sure you'll disagree, but that's my opinion. There is no such misery that could cause me to kill myself, and I can't see why anyone else would want to either.

Now THAT's just plain stupid. Suicide is not a solution, it's just dumb. There's no excuse in commiting a suicide, none. If you're in a mental state it doesn't make it anymore reasonable.

Shut up. Suicide doesn't take guts, it takes guts to live. Anyone can stick a shotgun in the mout and pull the trigger. All it takes is a fraction of a second. To get through life is what takes guts. Cobain was a pathetic piece of shit who couldn't handle being famous and getting everything he'd ever wanted. Tough life.

Yes it is. If Cobain got what he wanted, why did he do it? Because he was a loser to begin with. Drugs screw you up.

exactly, it's like talking about death, you can say or think what you want, but you don't know. Suicide is terrible, sad, but talking about respect or not ??????? i don't see why !

Aloha !

You can only talk about wanting to live since that's what you're experience is. You can't talk about NOT wanting to live since you've never experienced that sort of feelings. Don't judge about it either. It has got nothing to do with respect.

If I had experienced it myself, I probably wouldn't be here typing right now.

If you are asking if I ever knew anyone who did this, then yes.

I still don't change my point of view that it is the easy way out. It takes more guts to live than it does to die. Not to mention that it is a totally selfish act.

I can't respect a coward. Pretty simple really. Instead of dealing with his problems head on, he decided to blow his head off. How can I respect someone who left their little girl to fend for herself in this world with no father? When you decide to have a child, he/she should come first. Kurt obviously didn't feel the same.
