Huh??? I am not really following this.

Are you referring to my comments on his views of his work/fans? What he wanted from life? If so, well, I guess I do know him a bit better than the majority here, thus can actually comment. Others just base their opinion on the fact that he shot himself. Is that better?

And I am NOT knocking down anybody. Just voicing my opinion and actually listening to others!!!
i was taking the piss because u were going on as if u actually knew the guy and his problems.

hey uve got an opinion, fair enough but u can't dress a fox in lambs wool and there's nothing ur going to say or point out that will change the fact that cobain was a drugged up waste of a life.

and his lyrics dont mean shit, he personally said that himself. he'd scribble down nonsense while going into the studio and fit it round the songs, simple as that. people who read into them and get a meaning r just like the people who read into nostradamus and take what meaning THEY want from it.

I think the selection of couples represented in the song is a very cleverly picked. It's not just random names, each couple had their difficulties, and all of them divorced/split up/ended up dead. So tragical.

sid and nancy - this was dealt with. Both died.
Fred and ginger - quite possibly the most famous dancing duo, a concept in itself. But I don't think in real life they were ever a couple. So just an illusion.
Clyde and bonnie - self-explanatory
Liz and richard - married and divorced twice (as far as I remember)
Kurt and courtney - see above...
Bacall and bogie - were a married couple and a screen couple for a long time. Ended in Bogie's death (I'm not sure if they divorced)
Joltin’ joe and ms. monroe - Marilyn and Joe DiMaggio were married for 9 months.

Thanks for the helpful info, Jovilaura. The reason I didn't recognize most of the names is because the only used first names for most of the couples.

And to SohoSid: Of course I've heard of Marilyn Monroe! She sang Happy Birthday to Jon at the concert I was at. (Well, it wasn't really her 'cause she's dead, but it was an impersonator.)
