Lack of solos

First off in reply to datmar, vizlor is right 100%. He's not saying richie shouldbe malmsteem or any of IM nor anything like that... but just as a good lyricisit tells a story a good song blends music and lyrics togeher and a perfect song has the music telling a story in itself... - this is an ideal for example and is an-almost utopia which is why people like Jimmy Page and Stairway To Heaven, or Queen and Bohemian Rhapsody (as an obvious example), Springsteen Lost in the flood, Deep Purple Child in Time, Pink Floyd Shine On You Crazy Diamond... are just a few examples of when this has come off.

Someone quite rightly said that even they could play the solos from this album. Richie is one of the best guitarists though to this new audience (which some of you may not like to belive is probably 60%-70% 2000 to present day) he won't be that good because all they will know of him will be the solos off bounce, maybe crush... hopefully they will backtrack after this but its probably unlikely.

Please someone read my long post on the thread "Bounce - worst alvum ever" because it answers virtually all the questions...

especially the why is noone commenting on dave as keyboard player, tick as drummer etc.

I don't think that the solo's in Bounce are bad or anything, but I do agree that some of the songs (esp. Undivided and Bounce) should be longer. I think that Undivided should start with the slow bit, rather than finishing with it, before it hits you with the heavy guitar. It worked great at Wembley. I also think that Undivided could definetly benefit from a longer solo
