Default Lay Your Hands On Me Live

How many different live versions of this song were officially released
on cd only before the 2017 tour and where were they from?
I used to have a few cd singles, but the wife sold them in a garage sale
and I can’t find information anywhere

As far as I know...

Live at Giants Stadium 89 - Bed Of Roses single
November 27, 2000 / Toronto, Ontario, Canada - One Wild Night CD Single

I think they are the only officially released live versions, not including DVDs...

Is the Toronto one the version with the 1996 intro tacked onto the front of it? What was the point?

Who knows what the point to most of Obie's edits are...

Thanks, I had both those cd singles, would live to find the 89 version,
wasn’t there a marching band intro for the Toronto version?

That's what they meant with the 1996 intro in the posts above

😂 no divorce, 25 years strong, my bad had my import cd singles in the box
for sale, many years ago before I thought about adding them
to the computer, I had them all, it’s a shame, they should just
put out a big live box set with all those tracks, all the live
downloads and bonus tracks, it would require very little effort

There's 5 official releases from Lay Your Hands On Me of which only 2 were issued as b-sides.

1. June 11, 1989, Giants Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ, U.S.A.
- released on several issues of the Bed Of Roses single

2. October 25, 1992, Kaufman Astoria, New York City, NY, U.S.A.
- released on the VHS/Laserdisc An Evening with Bon Jovi

3. August 30, 2000, Letzigrund Stadion, Zurich, Switzerland
- released on the DVD (not on the VHS), live from the Crush tour

4. November 27, 2000, Air Canada Center, Toronto, ON, Canada
- Released on various issues of the One Wild Night 2001 single.

5. June 28, 2003, Hyde Park, London, U.K.
- released on the bonus disc of the This Left Feels Right DVD.

The live version from Toronto 2000 has the the marching band intro from 1996 mixed as if there really was a marching band in Toronto. There wasn't, it's just the official recording they used during the These Days tour because no, the marching band was never live. No idea why Obie did this, but then again, it's not the only edit Obie did that made no sense as we all know the guy is absolutely clueless as to how live releases should be.

For the sake of just using common sense we'll ignore the atrocious TLFR stuff which makes 5 official live versions.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
