Never liked LIR. Easily the worst song on SWW. Dull opener.

Can you explain? Let it Rock to me is a lame opener either for a live show and for a record. When I heard it the first time I thought - OMG that record might suck. Fortunately it was the only weak spot on a classic album. LIR doesn't rock at all and is lame and too slow. Boring IMHO.

So you don't like the new stuff, and you don't like the quintessential classic old stuff? And ''too slow''? I suppose Wanted, Living in Sin etc are too slow for you aswell?!

Let it rock, for the guitar solo alone, is amazing. ''Only weak spot on the album'' you say? Are you seriously saying to me that Without Love, Social Disease and Wild in the Streets are better songs than Let it rock?!

You are a walking contradiction my friend

No but those are classy ballads LIR isn't quintessential (as it is a lame "supposed to Rock" song and therefore hasn't been played live for ages cause it's boring!

Yes I say so 110%. A good guitar solo doesn't make a good song!

And you obviously cannot stand opinions that differ from yours.

To sum it up: Do you make sense ?

There is an Oscar the Grouch on every board - someone who who is negative about everything if other people like it.

We are known as a negative board generally (especially compared to backstage) but this guy takes the cake.

The Let it rock solo was just one tiny example of why its a great classic Bon Jovi song, the intro alone is also very special, the lyrics are great fun and it has all the quintessential Bon Jovi ''Woahhhss'' here and there and the general big stadium rock sound that they perfected so well back then.

And you still think 'Without Love'' and ''Social Disease'' are better songs?!

I think you're just disagreeing for the sake of it, trying to be controversial in every way just to be different. The only thing I have ever agreed with you on is over on the other thread about Queen.

meh
