Default Let's boycott MTV!!!

In the last years I've noticed something: MTV doesn't like Bon Jovi.

The reason? They like to promote new "talented" "artists", and they forget one of the bands that made from MTV the powerful business that is now: BON JOVI

So, I call all Bon Jovi fans to boycott MTV, because they aren't fair with them.

The sample: Wanted 2003 hasn't been played in MTV LA, and it has passed more than a month since the album was released, and now they're making the "(LesBi)tney Spears Weekend"...

MTV wouldn't give a shit about such a boycott.

PS: I think your sig should say "You are the light" rather than "You're alive"

OK OK, I used a very big word... boycott

But we have to communicate at any way that we're not happy with the elitist MTV attitude....

I DON'T KNOW EXACTLY HOW, BUT I THINK WE CAN.....

And ponrauil, thanks for the correction

Don't they have a request program where anyone can request any video to be played?

I know what you mean.
Here in Europe we have the same problem.
There's got to be something we can do.

I don't have a reason to boycott them. MTV Germany plays their videos and have special shows about them every time there's a new tour. MTV Germany is the only channel here where I heard that they play the new Wanted-video. Not often but still from time to time.

MTV Germany takes a lot from VH 1, like Behind the music or Storytellers and stuff. They show these shows also from Bon Jovi.

MTV and VH1 are the same company, and VH1 in the UK shows a lot of Bon Jovi stuff, with many dedicated evenings throughout the year.

MTV only shows more of todays pop music because the majority of it's viewers like that kind of stuff (well, they are brainwashed into liking it), but that's pretty much all they show.

VH1 is better for rock music, and they are soon to launch VH2, and we already have VH1 Classic here, which shows pretty much non-stop music videos all the time, and at night they mainly show just rock classic.

...and do you really think if a few hundred people stopped watching it would affect MTV in any way?

MTV is crap, well the music, i like the shows like the osbournes and that but the music they play is all the same pop rubbish, TRL is full of rubbish videos and i dotn think i have EVER seen bon jovi on MTV, thats why i love VH1 they play loads of bon jovi and often have bon jovi days and special shows about them. I think bon jovi are 2 good 2 be on MTV and its there problem if they dont wanna play them they can carry on playing there justin and britney, dont worry about it but if it makes u feel better then tell them how u feel
