Are you ready to Rumba?

Rumba, the pop festival that rocked Australia in 2001, is back and The Star is giving you the chance to be there to experience what is being billed as one of the best festivals of the year.

The beauty of music festivals is that you get to see so many of your favourite artists on one day for the price of one ticket.

Rumba this year will not disappoint, with some of Australia and the world's biggest artists lining up to rock the Rumba stage.

Headlining this year's Rumba festival are US superstars Bon Jovi. This band has sold more than 80 million albums – two million of those in Australia.

But you won't just get Bon Jovi when you Rumba in 2002 – there is 10 hours of non-stop action at the world's biggest pop festival.

Also ready to Rumba are Pink, Shaggy/Rayvon, Abs, Sugababes, Taxiride, Liberty X, DJ Sammy, Toya, Selwyn, IIO, Bachelor Girl, Disco Montego featuring Katie Underwood, Shakaya, Sophie Monk, Brooke McClymont, David Franj, Jeremy Gregory, Hayley Aitken, BJ Caruana and Jinx.

Not to mention Rumba 2002 is your chance to see the infamous daughter of Ozzy Osbourne – Kelly Osbourne - perform her re-make of Madonna's Papa Don't Preach.

In an Australian exclusive, Rumba 2002 is the only place to experience Natalie Imbruglia's first ever Australian tour performance!

But Rumba isn't just about music – it's also a celebration of lifestyle and entertainment featuring heaps of amazing activities to keep you going all day.

Rumba 2002 boasts the debut of the Pepsi Max Team, featuring Australia's number one freestyle sports team and world-class extreme athletes.

This includes motocross (Jono Porter), BMX (Tim Wood), inline skating (Matt Salemo) and skateboarding (Brad Drury).

There's also the chance for you to be discovered on Rumba TV, meet your favourite Rumba artists at the autograph stage and check out Rumba Mall.

You will also have the chance to win a brand new Hyandai Getz at Rumba!

Everyone at Rumba will also get a free Rumba program and CD-Rom.

Rumba will visit six cities on its 2002 tour and tickets are on sale now and selling fast.

It will hit Sydney's Telstra Stadium on Saturday, December 14. Don't miss out, tickets are on sale now by calling 9266 4800 or visiting www.ticketek.com.

For all your Rumba news, check out www.rumba.com.au.

- The Star is giving 15 lucky readers the chance to win a double pass to Rumba in Sydney, presented by Hyundai Getz. To be in the running, simply phone 1900 915 331 and leave your name and daytime telephone contact number. Entries close at noon on Tuesday, December 3.

Bands that I can tolerate while waiting for Bon Jovi to appear at Rumba:

Taxiride, Bachelor Girl, Pink and Natalie Imbruglia (a little)

The rest will be good time to get food, take bathroom breaks, etc.

hey.....
I am ready to Rumba!!!!
I will look forward to hearing Taxiride performing, in the wait for BJ!!!

Did u guys read the article that said that while the fans maybe ready to Rumba the artists aren't yet???

There is going to be a group performance singing some traditional Rumba song....but the artists performing it haven't practiced as a group yet!!!

Also hopefully BJ gets a fair bit of concert time.....and i'm thinking they will because the concert in total is 10hrs long, so i'm sure with BJ being the biggest act, they will get a fair bit of time.

Well I can't wait for it!!
